About the Self Catering Cottage
Accommodation is in a spacious cottage, formerly a family home. The cottage has been sympathetically modernised, while retaining the old fashioned features and the cottage has a welcome and cheerful feel to it.
As part of the modernisation the cottage has a new fully fitted kitchen, new bathroom suite, all new floor coverings, curtains and has been fully redecorated etc.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge with cool box, separate freezer, electric cooker (4 rings, oven and separate grill), washing machine, microwave oven and tumble drier.
There is a comfortable sitting room with a colour TV, with satellite system and Play Station, DVD player and a VCR.
It has a spacious dining room with open fire and large oak table which will seat 6 persons.
It has three good sized bedrooms; two with double beds, the third with two single beds. All accommodation is on the ground floor.
A supply of bed linen and towels are provided free of charge if you require.
The bathroom has a bath with shower. Central Heating is provided by programmable electric storage heaters and panel heaters. Water is heated by immersion heater.
Electricity is paid for by a card meter. Cards are available at a number of outlets on the Island. There is a public telephone adjacent to the cottage.
The cottage is detached and stands in its own grounds. It has a large sheltered garden with ample playing areas and the River Eynort close by (approx 50 metres).
There is a shop located 10 minutes drive from the house in the village of Carbost which is handy for essential groceries. There are larger supermarkets in Portree and Broadford.
