FAQ
Q - How many people does the cottage sleep?
A - The cottage will sleep up to 6 people, accommodation is in two double rooms and one twin room.
Q - Can I smoke in the cottage?
A - The cottage is strictly no smoking.
Q - Is there a shower or a bath?
A - The bath room has both.
Q - Can we bring our dog?
A - By prior agreement well behaved dogs are allowed.
Q - Do you provide bed linen and towels?
A - Yes, both are provided free off charge.
Q - Is there disabled access?
A - While the cottage is all on the ground floor, it does not have disabled facilities.
Q - Will I get a mobile phone signal at the cottage?
A - The cottage is in Glen Eynort, there are steep hills surrounding the Glen, as such mobile signal can be variable.
Q - If not, is there a phone at or close to the cottage?
A - There is a public call box at the end of the garden.
Q - Is the house close to the road?
A - There is a quiet single track road at the bottom of the front garden. Glen Eynort is at the end of the road, so traffic is very light.
Q - Where are the nearest shops for food etc?
A - The nearest shop is in Carbost about 4 miles away, main supermarkets in Portree about a 20 minute drive away.
Q - Are there neighbours close by?
A - The cottage is very private, it is detached and stands in its own substantial grounds. Further it is surrounded by trees and hedging etc. The nearest neighbour is some distance away and no neighbouring properties look in to the cottage.
Q - Is the garden big enough for children to play in?
A - Yes, there are grassed areas to the side, front and rear, there is also a larger wooded area to the side.
Q - Is there a barbeque provided?
A - No.
Q - Is there an iron and ironing board?
A - Yes, both are provided.
Q - Is there somewhere to dry out / store wet clothes / boots?
A - Yes, there is an area for hanging/drying coats and boots.
Q - Is there a cot / high chair?
A - Yes there is a cot which guests can use free, there is no high chair.
Q - How long will it take to drive to the cottage from Inverness Airport?
A - Approximately four hours.
Q - The electricity is by meter, how much would I expect to use in the week?
A - This will obviously vary, however on average guests tend to use around £25 per week. Tokens can be purchased at £5 each with the first £5 provided free. Any unused tokens will be "bought" back at the end of the holiday.
